Send Out The Prayers

Don’t think that because you pray, somebody gets healed. No. God is not to be fooled that way. He didn’t give someone a problem because you didn’t pray. He did it to teach that person a lesson. By praying for someone, you open your heart. You become more compassionate; and of course your prayerful thoughts will reach the person being prayed for. If the person deserves to receive them, he will. Even if that happens, don’t think that your prayer literally cured him. Your prayer helped him.

Peaceful and healing thought forms spread, and the person who is ready to receive gets healed. That is the power of prayer. Prayers bring powerful thoughts. If the sick person really looks for it and wants it, he or she can use it. You simply make it available. But you cannot force it onto him. If his previous offence was that big, his own destiny might cause him to reject the prayer. Such a person cannot be helped.

Don’t think that because you appeal to God, God simply obeys you. That would mean that God doesn’t love that person, and will only help him because you prayed. No. You should remember that each one is God’s child. God doesn’t wait for your prayers in order to take care of His children.

Your duty is simply to send the prayers. If the person for whom you’re praying is ready, he or she will receive the prayer. If not, somebody else might get the benefit. That is why we pray for the entire world.

Send out the prayers, broadcast. Whoever tunes in, will receive it.

The Heart Will Win

“The heart should play an important role, not only in married life, but in all of our relationships: with friends, relatives, business associates, and even strangers. Even if the other person uses the head, you should use more heart. Remember, ultimately the heart will win; it might take time but it will win. If you really want to use your heart, you will be guided in that direction. God’s guidance will be there. Pray more and trust in that higher force.

Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi”

Lady Don’t Tek No – Latryx

After months of putting it off, I finally went to the gynecologist today. I must say that I’ve certainly had plenty of strange experiences in my life – but not particularly when it comes to the gyno. Sure, I’ve been a starving creative in New York and spent some time at the Margaret Sanger Center at Planned Parenthood on Bleecker Street. There you found women like me, too poor to attain health insurance but not poor enough to be considered poor. Does this strike you to be familiar Americans?

Nevertheless, I hold dual citizenship in the US & in Hungary. Clever me, believed I could obtain free medical care while in Hungary, one of the reasons I scheduled an appointment to see the doctor here. In Eastern Europe. Yes. I am crazy. (more…)

Mystical Mantra Energy

Apparently here in Europe there’s a Jesus holiday going on today. Something about the Holy Spirit. Obviously, I am not well versed but respectful. Posting this, my favorite version of Hare Krishna, in respect to the holiness of the day. But isn’t everyday holy?

A mantra is mystical energy encased in a sound structure and each mantra contains within its vibrations a certain power. But of all mantras, the maha-mantra (the Hare Krishna mantra) has been prescribed as the easiest and surest way for attaining God Realization in this present age.”

George Harrison (1943-2001),
in his autobiography :’I, me and Mine’

Bleeding Heart

Posted in beauty, health, life, love, neighborhood, new york, plants, relationships, san francisco, spirituality, WTF by the consummate on April 5, 2011

The Bleeding Heart flower is very special to me. During one of the most difficult periods of my life I grew a special connection with her. I started taking the flower essence at the suggestion of  a spiritual advisor but soon discovered a family of Bleeding Hearts lived on the path of the 22nd Street stairs. Anytime I would run or walk up  and down the stairs I would be greeted by them. I don’t believe in coincidences but only the universe confirming your direction.

Bleeding heart is a well tested flower essence and has been shown to release painful emotional attachments and heartaches from ended relationships. This might be the result of a breakup, a death, someone moving away, or getting a new job, or a tragedy with a pet. All of these incidents separate the person from their heart’s desire. Bleeding Heart flower essence helps mend the heart almost immediately, as if the person that was involved in the heart ache genteelly released their hold on it.

More on Bleeding Heart flower essence here.

PS: I’m starting to take her again today.

American Jesus – Bad Religion

25 years ago today I sat in the computer lab at school while Mrs. Ryan aired the live broadcast of the Space Shuttle Challenger’s launch. Kindergartners and 1st Graders were seated in anticipation as most of our daddies and mommies had lent a hand in building the space craft. The Challenger had been towed down 10th Street East on its way to Edwards Air Force Base where it was to be place on top of an airplane and flown to Cape Canaveral, Florida.

That day in Mrs. Ryan’s class is deeply seeded in my mind. The Challenger symbolized the hope of my youth, in the US during the 1980’s we were filled with possibilities and a desire to advance. At the height of its growth and the fastest expanding city in the US, my town, the largest Aerospace community in the world, the Challenger meant progress and a job well done. It meant they were all moving in the right direction. Blue collar workers were confident in the prescribed dose of Republican bullshit and propaganda. We were, after all, winning the arms race against the Russians.

My 1st grade class co-taught by Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Gunderson was apart of the process since Day 1 with building models, learning about the astronauts and visiting the plant where the Shuttle was partially built. The teachers were overwhelmingly enthused by Christa McAuliffe, the teacher chosen to ride in space as the first non-astronaut human. It meant a generation of children would know that teaching meant so much more than a classroom setting, it meant reaching the limits of space.

The explosion was something none of us could fathom. I remember being seated in a dark computer lab with my peers crying, unable to understand what happened. I think it was in the instance of the explosion that a whole generation of Americans realized how fragile we actually were. That sometimes lady luck isn’t on our side and on that day Jesus was not an American citizen.

I’ve Found A New Religion

Posted in art, artists, california, health, life, music, neighborhood, san francisco, spirituality, yoga by the consummate on October 15, 2009

i’ve found a new religion
every morn a new mantra
it’s not that now i don’t believe
everything i’m told or read
overheard and over said
i’m just not listening

try to change the weather
like time magazine
did you read?
chairman mao is a robber baron now
rolling over in his grave

i’ve found a new religion
every day (every day)
i’ve found a new religion
every day

i’ve got a new image
got a new outlook
and it’s decidedly sexy
but then again i can’t be satisfied
and broken hearts are counterrevolutionary

are you feeling cooped up
like allende?
see i ain’t
gonna pull my hair out anymore
for a new cold war

i’ve found a new religion
every day (every day)

i’ve found a new religion
every day (every day)
