Conceivably, It Is What It Seems

Yes, you were correct my dear. He was a manipulative asshole. As soon as I could tell him in person to fuck off, I did.  You would have been proud. I’m just sorry it took me so long to make that realization on my own.

The Heart Will Win

“The heart should play an important role, not only in married life, but in all of our relationships: with friends, relatives, business associates, and even strangers. Even if the other person uses the head, you should use more heart. Remember, ultimately the heart will win; it might take time but it will win. If you really want to use your heart, you will be guided in that direction. God’s guidance will be there. Pray more and trust in that higher force.

Just Close Your Eyes And Think For A Minute

Posted in animals, art, artists, california, family, health, judaism, life, love, plants, relationships, spirituality, swami satchidananda by the consummate on December 22, 2011

Just close your eyes and think for a minute, “Does the whole world love me? How many people don’t love me? How many animals don’t love me? How many plants don’t love me?” Then you will know yourself how healthy and happy you are.

God is love. That is the essential teaching from all the scriptures. If we want to experience God, we should express that love in our life, just as God loves everything and everybody. God loves a rat, a cat, a dog, a donkey, a pig, a sinner, a saint, an idiot, a scholar. The most beautiful and the most ugly. A good dancer. The one who doesn’t even know how to walk. (more…)

Mystical Mantra Energy

Apparently here in Europe there’s a Jesus holiday going on today. Something about the Holy Spirit. Obviously, I am not well versed but respectful. Posting this, my favorite version of Hare Krishna, in respect to the holiness of the day. But isn’t everyday holy?

A mantra is mystical energy encased in a sound structure and each mantra contains within its vibrations a certain power. But of all mantras, the maha-mantra (the Hare Krishna mantra) has been prescribed as the easiest and surest way for attaining God Realization in this present age.”

George Harrison (1943-2001),
in his autobiography :’I, me and Mine’

Bleeding Heart

Posted in beauty, health, life, love, neighborhood, new york, plants, relationships, san francisco, spirituality, WTF by the consummate on April 5, 2011

The Bleeding Heart flower is very special to me. During one of the most difficult periods of my life I grew a special connection with her. I started taking the flower essence at the suggestion of  a spiritual advisor but soon discovered a family of Bleeding Hearts lived on the path of the 22nd Street stairs. Anytime I would run or walk up  and down the stairs I would be greeted by them. I don’t believe in coincidences but only the universe confirming your direction.

Bleeding heart is a well tested flower essence and has been shown to release painful emotional attachments and heartaches from ended relationships. This might be the result of a breakup, a death, someone moving away, or getting a new job, or a tragedy with a pet. All of these incidents separate the person from their heart’s desire. Bleeding Heart flower essence helps mend the heart almost immediately, as if the person that was involved in the heart ache genteelly released their hold on it.

More on Bleeding Heart flower essence here.

PS: I’m starting to take her again today.

Nothing is Impossible to Accomplish

Posted in art, artists, beauty, judaism, life, love, plants, spirituality, subculture, swami satchidananda, yoga by the consummate on December 9, 2010

“The entire life is based on imagination. In a way, you are also imagining in meditation. In meditation, you think of God. Have you ever seen God? No. So you are imagining, “That must be God. God should be like this. God should be like that.” That is your God. Another person would imagine the same God in his or her own way. That is why even God’s form varies according to the person who imagines God. That is the proof that everything comes from within.

In meditation you are imagining something that you want to ultimately become or develop. “God is almighty, God is all-powerful, God is all-forgiving, God is all love.” You constantly think of certain things and the mind assumes that image, assumes that quality. But one thing is important: you should think strongly. You should be strong enough in your suggestions. That is what you are trying to develop in your meditation. You are strengthening your thoughts by constantly thinking of the same thing. To make yourself strong in your thoughts, you have to keep on dinning that into your mind. “This is what I want to become. This is what I want to become.” That means you imagine that you are going to be like that – that you are that. Then certainly you will become that. Once you achieve that kind of thought power, nothing is impossible to accomplish.

Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi”

Reconsidering Columbus

Posted in animals, artists, beauty, friendship, life, love, plants, relationships, spirituality, subculture, travel, WTF, yoga by the consummate on October 7, 2010

Native American culture and philosophy is close to my heart. I’ve had the honor of participating in spiritual ceremonies and met amazing torch bearers (some in this video) who are passing these ways down to the next generation of Native peoples and others who respect these ways. It’s high time we look at history and start telling a new story – the TRUTH.

High Road

Sometimes I HATE taking the high road. Yet my conscience will not allow me to take another (well, let’s just say  on average I’m riding on a higher altitude these days). Sometimes I just want to play dirty, sometimes I want the other person to take the high road. I want to throw a fucking fit, I want the apology, I want to be calmed down, I want to take the fucking low road, like lil jon get low, like cholos in a low rider crusin’ in echo parque (wait, do they actually still reside there?), like it’s fucking hot here in HELL low. I wanna Veruca Salt it out!  YEOW!!!

End Off Shore Drilling NOW

BP should not only be “pressured” over this recent oil spill, legal charges should be brought against the company on behalf of the women, men, children and sea life effected. Say a prayer for the sea life and the countless number of families who rely upon the gulf for livelihood. If this oil spill is not contained and spreads to Florida, we’ll see a wipe out of sea life there – including turtles, manatees, dolphins and other important creatures.

If you find yourself near the gulf with some time, I urge you to volunteer. More info here.

To give you an idea of statistics, like the fact that more than 70% of the country’s birds frequent the gulf, click here.

Angel’s Wings

You say you’re down on your luck

Hey baby It’s a long, long way up

Hold back now, hold back your fears

You say you’re really down and out

And you feel like there’s no way out now

Let go now let go of your tears some moreHow many times have you asked yourself?

Is this the hand of fate now that I’ve been dealt?

You’re so disillusioned this can’t be real

And you can’t stand now the way you feel

I don’t care about what they say

I won’t live or die that way

Tired of figuring out things on my own

Angel’s wings won’t you carry me home?

And when you’re down on your luck

Hey baby It’s a long, long way up

Hold back now, hold back your fears

And when you’re really down and out

And you feel like there’s no way out now

Let go now, let go of your tears some more

I triumphed in the face of adversity

And I became the man I never thought I’d be

And now my biggest challenge, a thing called love

I guess I’m not as tough as I thought I was

I don’t care about what they say

I wanna marry you some day

Gonna wake up, it’s a brand new day

Angel’s wings gonna carry you away

Angel’s wings gonna carry me away

Angel’s wings gonna carry us away

Gonna carry us away

Gonna carry us away

Gonna carry us away
